Riccardo Riccò had an accident during the Tour of Austria
The Cobra has fractured nasal septum after being slammed against a TV motorcycle
Riccardo Riccò ugly adventure in the penultimate stage of the Tour of Austria, the 26 km individual time trial that saw him among the best riders, only ten kilometers from the arrival. The Cobra, engaged to ride with his head down during the maximum effort, crashed against a TV motorcycle. Riccò fell tumbling to the ground seriously injured throughout the body.

Helped by diesse Pino Petito, the Cobra has wanted to resume the race and finished the stage while maintaining the absolute leader. Transported to hospital by the same Petito, to Riccardo Riccò was detected fracture of the nasal septum and were affixed sixteen stitches in the left knee.

Tomorrow, Sunday, the Tour of Austria ends with the final stage and the final arrival in Vienna. The Cobra, for now, intends to start.
